Pilgrim Tours:
Pilgrimage Journey

Join the long tradition of pilgrims to the Holy Land, by following in the footsteps of the early and modern faithful. Explore what it means to be a pilgrim, visit the places where Jesus lived, taught, and died. Walk in the Land where Christianity was born. Visit the sites in Jerusalem from the time of Jesus, including a walk on the Via Dolorosa to the traditional places of the crucifixion on Golgotha and the Resurrection. See the remains of King Herod’s palaces, cities and the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Understand what it meant to live in the time of the Second Temple. Explore the remains of homes of the priests (cohanim) who served in the Temple, walk on the paths and stairs that led into the Temple precinct, see remains of the shops and trade areas that Herod constructed near the entrances to the Temple.

This trip will take you through the Galilee to ancient towns and sites where Jesus lived, taught, and performed miracles, including Nazareth, Cana, Bethsaida (including fascinating new archaeological excavations taking place there!), Tiberias, Capernaum, Tabgha, the Sea of Galilee (including a boat ride and St. Peter’s fish lunch!) and the Mount of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount was delivered. You will also see the 1st Century Boat from the time of Jesus that was discovered in the silt under the water during a drought year and that has been preserved and is now on display.

Travel to the exquisite remains of Herod’s city of Caesarea on the Mediterranean coast, Mount Carmel where Elijah bested the prophets of Baal, and Bethlehem, traditional site of the birth of Jesus.

Opportunities to be baptized in the Jordan River are available, upon request.
